Between Lake Georgetown, Lake Travis and the acreage lots out toward Liberty Hill and Jarrell, a lot of Georgetown households own something with a trailer, and a lot of them are parking it on a four-inch driveway that was never meant for it or on grass that turns to mud on the clay side. An RV pad is a different slab: five to six inches thick, 3,500-psi concrete, #4 rebar on 18-inch centers, on a base compacted to take a 20,000-pound Class A without cracking at the tires. It's usually paired with a widened driveway or a side-yard extension so the rig can actually get there without cutting the corner across the lawn.
We site the pad for the turning radius, the slide-outs and the hookups (a 30- or 50-amp pedestal and a water spigot are common add-ons through your electrician), pitch it so the rig sits level and the water runs off, and handle the City of Georgetown permit for any approach work and the HOA screening rules — Sun City and most Georgetown HOAs restrict where an RV can sit and require a Modification Request for the pad.

Questions we get about rv & boat pads
How thick should an RV pad be?
Six inches with #4 rebar for a Class A or a big fifth wheel; five inches for a travel trailer or a boat. Four-inch driveway concrete will crack at the tires under a motorhome.
Can I put an RV pad in my side yard in Georgetown?
Usually, subject to the side setback and your HOA's screening rules — most require the rig to be behind the front building line and screened from the street. We check the plat and the HOA rules before quoting.
Does Sun City allow RV pads?
Sun City Texas restricts RV parking on lots to loading and unloading; long-term storage pads are generally not allowed. We'll tell you honestly what your community permits before you spend money.
Do you install the hookups?
We pour the pad and set a conduit sleeve; your electrician installs the pedestal. We'll coordinate.
How much does an RV pad cost in Georgetown?
$7,000 to $10,500 for a 12-by-45 six-inch reinforced pad, plus the driveway extension to reach it.
