Concrete work for Leander's new neighborhoods and Hill Country lots
One of the fastest-growing cities in the country, mostly on limestone — patios, pool decks, driveway widenings and shop slabs for houses that are five years old and lots that are thirty acres.
Leander is west of the Balcones fault, so most of it is limestone and caliche rather than clay — good news for concrete, as long as the pour is on a compacted base and not on the loose fill the builders left. The city has doubled since 2010: Crystal Falls, Travisso, Bryson, Palmera Ridge, Larkspur, Horizon Lake, the streets off Ronald Reagan and Hero Way. Those houses are new and the work is additions — a patio the builder didn't pour, a pool deck, a driveway widening so the third car isn't on the grass, an RV pad. West and north of town, out Nameless Road and toward Liberty Hill, are the acreage lots with shops, barns and long drives.
Leander requires a permit for driveway approaches and most flatwork inside the city, and nearly every subdivision has an HOA with a review process; we handle both. Some Leander lots hit solid rock a foot down, which changes excavation and pricing — we probe before we quote so there's no rock surprise.

Questions from Leander homeowners
Do I need a permit for a patio in Leander?
For an uncovered patio slab, usually not, but a covered patio or anything tied to the house does, and the HOA reviews all of it. Driveway work that touches the street needs the approach permit. We check both.
How much does a concrete patio cost in Leander?
$10 to $14 per square foot broom-finished, $15 to $24 stamped — $3,000 to $7,000 for a typical 300-square-foot patio. Rock excavation, where the limestone is shallow, is priced when we probe.
Will you hit rock?
Often, on the west side. We probe on the estimate; if we'll need a breaker, it's in the written price, not a change order.
Can you widen my driveway in a Travisso or Crystal Falls?
Yes, within the HOA's width rule and the city's approach permit. Most allow a two- to four-foot widening or a third-car pad with a submittal.
