FAQ

Before you hire us: common questions

Registration, permits, HOAs, deposits, cure times, cracking, summer pours and the warranty. Short answers for Georgetown homeowners.

Hiring us

Licensed? Insured?

Texas has no state-level license for concrete contractors. To pull permits, the City of Georgetown requires contractor registration. We're registered. The crews pouring our jobs carry general liability and workers' compensation. Certificates reach you before any work begins.

Does an estimate cost anything?

No. We visit, measure, probe the soil to find which side of the fault you're on, and look at the approach. Then you get an itemized written price. It holds for 30 days.

How fast can someone come out?

Estimate visits happen within two or three days across Georgetown, Round Rock, Leander and Liberty Hill. Most jobs land on the calendar two to four weeks out. Repairs and leveling go sooner.

What happens if I call late at night?

Calls are answered at any hour, every day. Your details get taken, then a person calls you back and books the estimate.

Will you take a small job?

Yes. A walk, a pad, one panel, a foam lift. The minimum is about $900, since setup costs the same either way.

Permits and HOAs

Who handles permits?

We do. City of Georgetown approach and building permits, plus the matching permits in Round Rock, Leander, Cedar Park, Hutto, Jarrell and Liberty Hill. It shows as its own line on the quote.

And HOA approval?

Also us. Sun City's Modification Request, Wolf Ranch, Berry Creek, Teravista, Santa Rita Ranch, Sonterra and others. We put the packet together and submit it.

Paying

How does the deposit work?

Nothing is due until you approve the written price. A third is due at scheduling. The rest is due when the job is done.

Can I finance it?

Yes, through a third-party lender. The financing page has the details.

On the job and after

How long does a driveway take?

Day one, tear-out. Day two, base and forms. The pour takes one morning. Call it two to three working days. Then it cures: a car after 7 days, a truck or RV after 28.

Do you haul off the old slab?

Yes. It's removed, and priced per square foot on the quote.

Summer pours: a problem?

No. We start early, adjust the mix and keep the slab wet while it cures. Our hot-weather guide covers it.

Is it going to crack?

Somewhere, yes. Concrete shrinks. Control joints decide where. Hairline cracks in the joints are normal. A random crack, or one with a lip, means the base shifted. Our base prep and rebar are there to stop that, and the warranty covers it.

What's the warranty?

Two years on workmanship, in writing. That covers settlement, random structural cracks and spalling from a bad mix. Hairline cracks at joints and normal wear aren't covered.
