Site disclaimer

Our pages explain concrete in general. They can't see your yard.

Everything written here is meant to help homeowners around Georgetown make sense of concrete work. It's general background, not a verdict on your own slab. Last revised September 2026.

Same crack, different answer

Two neighbors on the same street can show us the same-looking crack and need completely different jobs. What's underneath matters: the soil and how wet it is, how the base was prepared, where the water drains, tree roots, how thick the slab is, what steel is in it, and how old it is. None of these pages is an evaluation of your property, a soils report, an engineering opinion, or advice aimed at your address. Whether you need a patch, a lift or a full tear-out only becomes clear once someone's standing on it.

The dollar figures

The prices you'll find in our service pages and guides are there for planning. They're ranges for ordinary projects around Georgetown and the rest of Williamson County, not quotes and not a promise. The real number moves with square footage, thickness, how much digging and hauling is involved, the base, drainage, the finish, whether a truck can reach the spot, and permits. A tear-out with a long haul to the dump is a different job from a pour onto open ground, and a range can't know which one you have. The written estimate is the number that counts.

About the pictures

The photos here are there to illustrate. They show the sorts of conditions and work the words describe. They're not offered as before-and-after proof of a particular customer's project in Georgetown.

No crystal ball on outcomes

We can't guarantee how a slab will behave over the years. That depends on how the ground moves, how water drains, what loads it carries, the weather, and whether it gets sealed and kept dry at the edges. Whatever warranty covers your job is the one spelled out in the contract you sign with the contractor doing the work. Products come with their own manufacturer warranties, which have their own fine print and registration steps.

Whose hands are on the trowel

The jobs this site brings in are carried out by independent contractors. How that arrangement works, and how those contractors are paid, is laid out in our referral marketing disclosure.

Links that leave this site

Now and then we link to another website because it's handy. We don't run those sites and can't vouch for what's on them.

When we get something wrong

We try to keep every page current, but things change and we make mistakes. Spot something that looks off or out of date? Let us know and we'll put it right.

If it's happening right now

A slab that's dropped all at once, a retaining wall that's bowing out, or a hole opening up in the yard: keep everyone and every vehicle off it. If gas, water or electric lines might be involved, your first call is 911 or the utility company, not us. After that, ring us or get a structural engineer out.

If anything on this page leaves you unsure, ask us before you decide what to do with your slab. Ring (737) 379-2302, or drop a line to hello@georgetownconcreteworks.com, and we'll come back to you. Ten minutes on the phone now beats paying for the wrong fix later.
