Terms of service

The plain-language terms behind every estimate and job.

Who we are

Georgetown Concrete Works is a locally operated concrete contractor based in Georgetown, Texas. Concrete work is performed by crews carrying general liability insurance; a certificate of insurance is provided on request before work begins. Texas does not issue a state license for concrete contractors; contractors performing permitted work register with the City of Georgetown.

Estimates

On-site estimates are free, itemized and valid for 30 days. Prices on this website are typical ranges for planning only; your written estimate governs.

Permits and approvals

Where a City of Georgetown or Williamson County permit is required, we prepare and submit the application and it is listed on the estimate; work is scheduled after approval. Homeowner-association approvals are the owner's responsibility; we supply the drawing and specifications the committee asks for. Engineered foundation plans, where required, are provided by a licensed engineer engaged by the owner unless the estimate says otherwise.

Contracts, deposits and payment

Work begins only after a signed written estimate. A deposit may be required for slabs, foundations and stamped work to cover materials; the balance is due on completion unless the estimate says otherwise. Change orders (for example, rock excavation deeper than expected, or fill required after the pad is cut) are priced in writing before extra work proceeds.

Concrete

Concrete cracks. We control where it cracks with joints, steel and base preparation, but hairline shrinkage cracks, color variation between pours and minor surface texture differences are normal and are not defects. Structural cracking, offsets at joints and drainage that ponds against the house within one year of completion will be corrected at no charge.

Weather and curing

Pours are weather-dependent and may move for rain, freeze or extreme heat. The owner agrees to keep vehicles off new flatwork for seven days and heavy vehicles for 28 days, and to follow the curing instructions we leave.

Site conditions

The owner is responsible for identifying private irrigation, septic, low-voltage, propane and pool lines; we call Texas 811 for public utilities before digging. Access for trucks and equipment must be available on the scheduled day; sod and plantings in the work area will be cut and set aside but not guaranteed.
